Security & Privacy Center
FREE PDF follows a minimal-data and transparent approach to file processing.
How are files processed?
The large majority of tools run entirely inside your browser: your file is read, processed, and converted on your own device — it is never sent to any server. Where a tool shows "This operation is performed on your device", that is a literal technical description, not marketing copy.
For the small number of tools that genuinely require server-side processing, your file is handled only for the duration of that operation, in a temporary location.
Are files stored?
No. Even for tools that require server-side processing, your file is not stored permanently — it is deleted as soon as the operation completes. We do not keep copies of your files.
Is file content analyzed?
No. File names, file contents, or document text are never sent to our usage analytics. Only anonymous events — such as which tool was used and whether it completed — are recorded.
Can ads see my files?
No. Our advertising system has no access to document content whatsoever; ads are shown in separate, isolated areas of the page.
What usage data may be collected?
If you consent to analytics cookies: which tool was used, anonymous usage events (started/completed), browser type, and page views may be collected in aggregate, anonymous form. No personally identifying data is collected.
